I'm always nervous whenever I make a really simplistic design and how it'll be received. I guess that old fear of people saying, "Anyone can do that," still eats away at me. I've heard it plenty of times throughout my life where my writing and thoughts have been concerned. So, when I do a design I try to use overcomplexity to make it so nobody but me (and a lot of designers) could even hope to recreate it.

I felt that way about my Nikon campaign project and now I feel the same way about my Ripples On The Pond book cover. When it's way too simple I get really nervous about it. Which I'm told I shouldn't, because not everyone can see something that simple despite thinking anyone could do it. I guess that's the way I should look at it. And for the most part I do. But that little voice is always in the back of my thoughts telling me otherwise.
